JoJo Siwa is on cloud nine after recently coming out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and now she's opening up more about her recent experiences.
While appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she shared how she came to the decision of coming out, when she was filming a video with the Pride House.
"I was doing TikTok with the people in the Pride House and I'm like, 'I think this TikTok to [Paramore's] 'Ain't It Fun' is going to out me,'" she said. "I was like, 'I don't really mind, it is true. I do have the most amazing, wonderful, perfect, most beautiful girlfriend in the whole world. It's not something I'm ashamed of, I just haven't shown the internet yet.'"
While she said that there had been speculations about her sexuality, JoJo noticed that many people were commenting on the video asking if this was her officially coming out. However, it was her girlfriend who gave her the boost she needed to confirm it.
"The day after I posted on TikTok, I was on FaceTime with my girlfriend...the day after I posted the 'Born This Way' TikTok, and we were just talking about it, and talking about all of the love that came in and we were both like, 'Technically, I still hadn't confirmed it,'" she said. "And I was like, 'I kind of want to post this picture [with the 'Best Gay Cousin Ever' t-shirt] on my real story.' And she was super encouraging. She was like, 'Do it!' I was like, 'Alright!' And I did it.'"
She also noted that although she knew not everyone would accept her, she was still excited to see all the love she would get from being herself.
"Of course not everybody in the world is going to accept it right now, but there are so many people that are going to accept it right now," she said. "And like I say, even if there's a million people that don't accept it, there's a hundred million that do."
